Thai Pusam
Thai Pusam commemorates the day when Goddess Pavarthi blessed Her son Lord Muruga with an invincible lance to vanquish the demon army of Tarakasura. So Thaipusam is a celebration of the victory of good over evil.
The festival falls on the Full Moon Night of the Tamil month of Thai (January-February), when the Moon transits into Pusam Nakshatra.
Thai Pusam at the Temple is a 2 day festival. The Sunday before Thai Pusam is celebrated with Abhishekam and Pooja to all the Deities, followed by Annadhanam for devotees in the afternoon.
Thai Pournami is celebrated on the Full Moon Night of Thai month (January-February)
Panguni Uthiram
This is the Annual Festival at the Temple.
Homam, Agni Chatti, Paal Kodam, Abhishekam and Pooja to all the Deities; and Annadhanam are the highlights of the festival.
The festival falls on the Full Moon Night of the Tamil month of Panguni (March-April), when the Moon transits into Uthiram Nakshatra.
